It seems like every day this week there has been a story about a child left in a hot car.
The most recent cases are in New Mexico and Connecticut, but the newest case is right here in our own backyard.
A Hanford woman has now been arrested for leaving her 11-month-old baby in a hot car, strapped into the car seat, with the windows rolled up.
The baby is okay thanks to a Good Samaritan who heard the baby crying and was able to rescue the baby because the car was not locked.
Police say the mother, 25–year–old Brittany Hogue, was shopping inside the Hanford Foods Co.
Police were waiting when Hogue came out of the store and arrested her for child abuse.
Police say Hogue told them she forgot the child was in the car.
