Combo Nicotine Therapy Helping People Quit Smoking

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

 

If you are trying to quit smoking, there could be new hope.

Researchers in South Africa found the most effective way to quit smoking was a combination of a nicotine blocking drug and nicotine patches.

According to the study's in the research journal, JAMA, author people who used this combination nicotine therapy were more likely to quit after 12 to 24 weeks than those who used the drug alone.

And, they were also less likely to smoke again six months later.
