Breakfast More Expensive

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

The most important meal of the day costs more, just like almost everything else.

According to CNN Money and the department of labor statistics, the overall price of fresh foods on our breakfast plate have gone up 11% since 2009.

Eggs are up 33%, bacon's up 65%, and coffee spiked 40%.

Prices are up because of animal sickness, drought and demand. The only thing that costs less is toast.

The price of bread is down about 1%.
