Valley Man Competes In Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest

NEW YORK (KMPH) -

For the second year in a row, the valley's Pablo Martinez is competing in Coney Island New York for the annual "Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest" on this Fourth of July.

He’s once again gunning for the men's title this year. Last year he ate 27 ½ hotdogs. Joey Chestnut, the reigning champ, ate 69 to win it last year.

Pablo says he’s better prepared this year. He says he’s been working at stretching his stomach and won’t let the crowds and notoriety of the event distract him.

When he’s not competitive eating, Pablo Martinez is a therapist in Visalia.

Good luck, Pablo!
