--Messner, Houtsmuller to join executive team--
BALTIMORE, June 30, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- CMTP today announced the promotion of Donna Messner, PhD, and Els Houtsmuller, PhD, who will both take on the roles of Vice President and Senior Research Director.
"CMTP continues to find new opportunities to work with private, nonprofit and public partners to ensure that patients, clinicians, policymakers and payers have the evidence they need to make informed health decisions," said Dr. Tunis. "Drs. Messner and Houtsmuller have demonstrated impressive leadership of several critical projects, and we look forward to their expanded role in guiding and managing CMTP."
In her new position, Dr. Messner will have leadership of research programs and staff engaged in grants and contracts, with oversight of CMTP's growing portfolio of work in policy and stakeholder engagement. Dr. Houtsmuller, who had served as Senior Program Director for the Green Park Collaborative – USA (GPC), will continue to head up that work along with some new initiatives that will be announced later this year.
CMTP also announced that Ellen Tambor, MA, will become Senior Research Manager, and Chris Kamphaus, MSA, formerly Accounting and Finance Manager, will become Controller.
