Woman Dies After Crash With Bus North of Fresno

UPDATE: The woman killed in a car accident east of Highway 41 and Road 145 in Madera County has been identified. Charlotte Boatright, 61, of Coarsegold died when her car collided with a tour bus Thursday. A dog in Boatright's car also died.

No one on the bus was injured in the accident.


A Coarsegold woman is dead after a crash in Madera County.

It happened Thursday evening along Road 145, east of Highway 41.

The California Highway Patrol says the woman was driving on Road 145 when she veered into the opposite lane, hitting a bus that was coming toward her.

Witnesses reported the woman was driving erratic before the crash and investigators believe she may have been distracted by a dog inside the car.

No one on the bus was hurt, however a dog that was riding loose in the woman's car also died.

The bus had just left Table Mountain Casino minutes earlier.

Another bus came to pick up the passengers.
