Fire Restrictions Issued by US Forest Service

Dry conditions in the mountains are now forcing the US Forest Service to issue fire restrictions, especially with 4th of July celebrations coming next week...

Here's a look at those restrictions.

First, no fireworks are allowed in the Sierra National Forest, even the safe and sane ones.

No building or maintaining campfires or stove fires, except in designated areas.

No smoking, unless you’re in an enclosed vehicle, building, or designated area.

No welding or other torches.

No internal combustion engines may be operated, except on national forest system roads or trails.
