Autism Linked To Pesticides

Women who are exposed to a lot of pesticides may be putting their babies at risk for autism. This is according to a study out of UC Davis.

Researchers say women who lived within a mile of where pesticides are used on agricultural fields had a 60% higher risk of having kids with a form of autism, or other developmental disorders.

About 200 million pounds of pesticides are used each year statewide.

Still – critics say there is no direct cause and effect.
