Neighbor Follows Thieves To Hotel And Calls 911

Posted:
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

An alert neighbor in Fresno got involved when she spotted something odd in her neighborhood.

She noticed a strange car in her neighbor’s driveway and watched as three people took stuff from inside the home.

She followed their car to a North Fresno hotel, while calling 911.

When Fresno County sheriff's deputies got to the hotel, they knocked on the door of one of the rooms and found evidence, including personal files, linking the thieves to a recent burglary in Northwest Fresno.

If you feel like a sitting duck in your neighborhood, there is something you can do about it; join a Neighborhood Watch.

You're also encouraged to write your driver's license numbers on your property, in case it's stolen.
