A new report by the IRS finds some government employees, including those who work at the IRS, are not paying their taxes.
The report finds more than 3% of federal employees and retirees owe the government a combined three billion dollars in unpaid taxes.
That's as of September, 2013.
The report finds those people either couldn't pay the full amount owed when they filed, got hit by an audit or were told they owed more than they paid.
'USA Today' requested the information under the Freedom of Information Act.
According to the report, these are the departments with the highest non–compliance rates: The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), The Department of Veterans Affairs, and The Army.
