Huge Fire In Fresno Destroys Warehouse

Fresno - A huge fire at a Fresno warehouse full of storage units burned for hours. The fire was at on old winery that had been converted into storage units.

The 3-alarm fire happened near Clovis and McKinley in East Fresno just a few hundred feet from "Fresno Yosemite International Airport".

Fire fighters say fighting the flames was difficult, because they did not know what was inside the storage units. The Fresno Fire Chief says that there was ammunition inside one of the units because they could hear it going off. .

It took 70 firefighters about an hour to get the fire under control, but they were at the warehouse for hours putting out hot spots.

Fresno's Fire Chief says part of the problem was the steel buildings were crumbling.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the fire. The fire was so big firefighters from Fresno, Clovis, and the Air Guard helped fight the flames.
