Honor Flight: Changing Of The Guard

Updated:
WASHINGTON (KMPH) - The 68 World War II veterans who are part of the Central Valley Honor Flight got a real treat Wednesday morning on their visit to our nation's capitol. They stopped at Arlington National Cemetery where they witnessed the Changing of the Guard.

KMPH FOX 26 News reporter Erik Rosales has been traveling with them and continues his stories of the sacrifices they've made to keep America safe.

They also visited the Air Force Memorial and The Vietnam Wall, so majestic and honoring to the men and women who served.

The Honor Flight gave these vets a way to heal and many used the trip to open up to fellow veterans, men and women who knew exactly what each went through during the war.

The next Central Valley Honor Flight will take place this June and the flight is already full.

More flights are expected in the following months.
