HURON, Calif. (KMPH) - Fresno County sheriff's deputies are reporting 3-year-old Tanya Ruiz was found safe and sound at 8:15 a.m. Monday morning.

She was found
walking alone in a field 1/2 mile from her house.

She is now being taken to Children’s Hospital Central California where she will be checked out.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Department says the suspect is outstanding at this time.

If you have any information, please call the Fresno County Sheriff's Office.

Crime Stoppers has offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. Call them anonymously at 559-498-STOP.

There is also an FBI reward being offered.

Police are now looking for a missing three-year-old girl, who they say was taken from her mother's car Sunday evening.

Huron Police say Tanya Ruiz’s mother put the toddler in her car seat around 7:45 p.m. outside their apartment in the area of Tenth and N Streets.

The mother ran back into her house to get her purse.

By the time she was back outside, Tanya was gone.

Tanya Ruiz was last seen wearing a brown shirt with flowers, jean shorts, and white sandals. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She’s about three feet tall and weighs approximately 33 lbs.

Fresno Police say witnesses described a Hispanic man in his 30's, with long hair, wearing a red shirt and red hat. They told officers and deputies he was last seen riding away with Ruiz on a bicycle. That bike was later recovered, but the girl and the suspect have not been found as of Monday morning.

Huron Police, Fresno County Sheriff’s Deputies and California Highway Patrol Officers are currently assisting with the search.

If you have any information, you're asked to call the Fresno Co. Sheriff's Office: (559) 600-3111.
