Caught On Camera: Burglar Claims To Be A Police Officer

Posted: Updated:
LEMOORE, Calif. (KMPH) -

Members of the Kings County Sheriff's Department hope someone in the valley has the tip that leads them to a man who robbed a home. The crook claimed to be a police officer.

The burglary happened Sunday morning, at a home just north of Lemoore.

Thankfully the homeowner was home and the alarm went off.

Wiley Elick says, "I opened the door to my bedroom and I heard a sound. So I came out and all I saw was a man existing through the backdoor. I just saw his back side and he said PD."

Elick tried to follow the guy but he ran off.

But the crook was caught on camera.

If you know who the guy is call the Kings County Sheriff's Department at (559) 584-9276.
