Visalia Police Investigate Accusation of Child Abuse Over Internet

Posted: Updated:
VISALIA, Calif. (KMPH) -

Visalia Police are waiting to see if more accusers come forward following the arrest of a man, who they say, sexually abused a boy over the internet.

Police started investigating 49-year-old Israel Villarreal in December.

That's when they received a report that Villarreal had abused a child over a live video chat phone.

The investigation led police to North Carolina to track down the boy in question.

They say the boy confirmed the abuse.

Officers served a warrant at Villarreal's home this week.

Police believe there could be more accusers.

You can call Detective Chris Jennings at 559-713-4727.
