Caught On Camera: Man Shoots & Kills Hanford Woman

Posted:
HANFORD, Calif. (KMPH) -

A video has been released in the case involving a Hanford woman shot to death last November.

Police say the surveillance video shows 24-year-old Jenny Torres gunned down by a man who gets out of a red Ford Mustang and then takes off.

The shooting happened on November 8th, 2013, along Third Street in south Hanford.

With permission from Torres' family, Hanford police released the video and also announced a one-thousand dollar reward.

Hanford Police Chief Carlos Mestas "We are still following up on leads. It's been extremely difficult. Our investigators have put in hundreds, if not thousands of hours into this case. We feel that there are people out there that know something."

Police say it's unclear where Torres was going so late at November night.

Detectives add Torres had just given birth to a baby boy one week prior to her death. Police say she was not the infants' guardian, who is now in the care of child protective services.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact Detective Pontecorvo at (559) 585-2535.
