Federal investigators are now looking into the massive GM car recall.
They want to see whether General Motors acted quickly enough on the recall.
One and a half million older–model small cars are linked to 13 deaths.
Earlier this week, GM doubled the number of cars in the recall because of faulty ignition switches.
Documents show GM knew of the problem as early as 2004.
The recall affects some older models of the Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky sports cars as well as the Saturn Ion, Chevy HHR, Chevy Cobalt and Pontiac g5.
