How often are you late to work? Make sure it isn't too often. A new survey shows one in three bosses have fired an employee for chronic lateness.
According to Career Builder, a quarter of employees admitted to being late at least once a month. 15 – percent said they are late at least once a week.
Traffic is the most common excuse, followed by lack of sleep, problems with public transportation, bad weather and dropping off the kids at daycare or school.
But companies shared some real gems like: "My cat got stuck in the toilet," and, "I woke up on the front lawn of a house two blocks away from my home." Oh, that'll score you integrity points with your boss!
