Caffeine Buzz That's Bad For You

Caffeine is the most widely used and socially accepted drug on the planet, but a new study finds most doctors don't know how to treat people who are addicted to caffeine.

The study found many people become so dependant on caffeine, they can't quit, even if they are told they have to because of a health condition.

Previous studies have linked caffeine abuse to a number of physical and psychological problems.

But there is help for people who are addicted!

Last spring, the American Psychiatric Association officially recognized Caffeine Use Disorder.

Researchers say adults should limit caffeine to about 400 milligrams per day.

That's about two to three cups of coffee a day.

People with anxiety, insomnia, high blood pressure, or heart problems should also lower the amount of caffeine they drink.
