Emergency care in the U.S. is barely getting a passing grade, according to a new report.
The American College of Emergency Physicians report card gives ER care a "D– plus." The report does not single out any doctors or hospitals, but it does show how well (or not) states and the federal government are doing in terms of supporting emergency care, access to care and disaster preparedness.
California ranked number 42, with an "F" grade.
