SUV Traveling 100 MPH In South Valley Fatal


The California Highway Patrol says one man died in a car crash in Kings County Monday night when his car left the roadway going about 100 miles per hour.

The crash happened at Avenue 54 and Road 16 around 10:00 p.m. near the town of Alpaugh.

Officers say the driver of the SUF was heading west on Avenue 54 at about 100 miles per hour when the vehicle went airborne on a curve and crashed into a canal bank.

The driver's identity has not been released.
