Southeast Fresno Man Stabbed in Neck by Nephew

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

A southeast Fresno man is in the hospital after his nephew stabbed him in the neck at a family gathering.

Fresno police say 35-year-old Kong Vang grabbed his uncle by the jacket and stabbed him in the neck with a long knife. It happened around 1:30 p.m. Saturday as the family was gathering for a celebration.

Family members quickly pulled Vang off his uncle and held him until police arrived.

Police say the man who was stabbed is in critical condition.

Vang was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
