Good Samaritans Return Fresno Mom's Purse

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

A Fresno mom lost her purse and couldn't find it anywhere. However, with the help of guardian angels from a local store she has it back.

The English family is getting ready for Christmas by baking cupcakes and cookies. The biggest treat the family just received came from the kindness of strangers.

"I'm in absolute amazement that there are still people out there that are honest and caring," says Amber English.

The Fresno mom lost her purse on Wednesday morning. She had no idea where it was. Without her purse she might have had a very different Christmas.

"I was in absolute panic, because I need to pick up my children from the airport in San Jose," adds English, "Without the I.D. I would not be able to go through security to get them."

However, English has a guardian angel. He found her purse while working at the "National Hardware Supply" store and he turned it into his boss right away.

"It was an emergency as far as I was concerned in her eyes," says Lisa Guzman who returned the purse, "I just wanted to make sure she had that piece of mind."

Guzman decided to get the purse back as fast as possible. She couldn't find contact information for English. So, Guzman drove it to her house.

"She was shocked and when I gave it to her she was ecstatic," adds Guzman.

English baked the staff at the store a cake to show her appreciation for how they helped her.
