Fresno State Bulldogs Gear Up For Las Vegas Bowl

Posted:

For the first time since 1999, the Fresno State Bulldogs are gearing up for "The 2013 Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl".

Organizers rolled out the red carpet for a formal reception, along Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas.  The boys enjoyed a steak dinner as family, friends and fans grabbed a front row seat in the background.

"Go Bulldogs, go Bulldogs, go Bulldogs," cheered on a group of fans.

The support was everywhere as fans young and old made the trip down to root the boys on.

Mark Jensen, fan and father of tight-end Marsel Jensen, drove in eight hours from northern California for the big game.

"For me as a dad it's bittersweet because it's his last game as a Bulldog. I have been to all of his games ever since he started playing at home and away.  It is going to be sad not to have a bulldog game to go to anymore, but for him, I am excited for his accomplishments, and that he gets to play USC" said Jensen.

The Bulldogs will play the USC Trojans on Saturday.

Man Shot, Shooter on the Loose?

A man is recovering right at a Fresno hospital after police say he was shot. But just who shot him, is still not clear. Officers were called to the area of Blackstone and Shields, for reports of a man in the road flashing gang signs at cars. They didn't find the man. But they got a call about 20 minutes later from workers at the Walgreens at Blackstone and Clinton, that the man had stumbled in, and had been hurt. Off...More >>
