Merced County Sheriff Mark Pazin is leaving to work in Governor Brown's administration.

Pazin was appointed as Chief of the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services Law Enforcement Branch.

The 57-year-old has served as the Merced County's sheriff since 2002.
