Man Stabbed in Chest After Argument

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

A man was stabbed in the chest with a steak knife following an argument at a Fresno apartment complex.

Police say they arrived at the Sunburst Apartments near Hughes and Ashlan just after 4:30 p.m. Friday to find a 20-year-old man with a single stab wound to his chest.

Christopher Michael King, 19, was arrested at the scene for assault with a deadly weapon and felony probation violation.

Officers say King stabbed the man, identified as Shamari McClay, after they got into a argument about their relationship.

McClay was taken to CRMC and police say he is in critical condition.
