FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

We have a winner!

Lynn Higdon, of Riverdale is the winner of the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway.

She made a $100 investment and is now walking away with the keys to a dream home worth more than $400,000.

The news was revealed during a live telecast on Sunday night.

Higdon was the lucky name pulled out of thousands.

She is now the winner of a stunning, four bedroom, craftsman home.

In the moments prior to the announcement, excitement rose backstage as the final tickets were sold.

Counters tallied up a total of 10,500 tickets.

The phone rang well into final hour, making this year the biggest in its ten year run.

But the biggest winner is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The event raised more than a million dollars.

Builder Paula DeYoung presented the hospital with a check for more than one million dollars.

"Well we take it very very personally ... what these dollars mean because we feel like those dollars saved my daughter's life. She is now six years cancer free and it's all thanks to St. Jude," said Season Burch, the mother of a St. Jude patient.

It's a lot of money for kids who really need it.

Kids like five-year-old Cash Shank, who underwent treatment at St. Jude for a rare form of brain cancer.

"They helped me get this brain tumor out and make it all better now." Said Shank.

It was a good day for the cause and good day for the dream home winner.

The St. Jude and DeYoung partnership has raised more than 9-million dollars since 2004.
