On Friday, airport officials announced Aeromexico will now provide non-stop flights from Fresno to Morelia, Mexico.

Beginning December 18th, the airline will provide weekly service through the holiday travel season.

The new route will depart from Fresno on Wednesdays at 2:06 a.m. and arrive in Morelia at 7:44 a.m. Returning flights leave Morelia on Tuesdays at 10:37 p.m., landing in Fresno at 12:51 a.m.

An airport spokesperson says these flights are on a trial basis, but there are plans to operate this route during other peak travel periods.
