Man Killed Trying to Break Up Girl Fight

Fresno Police are questioning two people in connection to an early morning murder outside a Northwest Fresno bar.

Officers were called just after 2:00 a.m. Friday, to "Nick's Bar" at Shields and West for reports of a shooting.

Witnesses told police a man, in his 30's, tried to break up a fight between two women in the alley behind the bar after closing time.

At one point, he was shot in the upper body.

The man was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center where he later died.

So far, his named has not been released.

Police say the shooting appears to be gang related.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 559-498-STOP where a $1,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
