Posted: Updated:

(FRESNO) A Fresno woman is back home after she disappeared for over a day, prompting an extensive search.

18-year-old Alexis Jackson has Asperger syndrome, which is a form of Autism.

She left her home in the Woodward Park area Wednesday morning between 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m.

Friends, family members and volunteers fanned out across the park Thursday, taping signs with her picture.

Fresno Police report a couple spotted Jackson near the San Joaquin River Mobile Home Park Thursday afternoon.

She asked them to drop her off at the Fort Washington Shopping Center, at Friant and Fort Washington.

Police were then notified, and she was reunited with her family.

Her father says she was not harmed.
