Hit And Run Driver Kills Hanford Man

HANFORD, Calif. (KMPH) -

A 22-year-old Coalinga man was killed Sunday when a driver struck him while crossing the street, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident happened around 4:46 a.m. as the man, whose name is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin, was crossing 10th Avenue just north of Home Avenue in Hanford.

Officers say a dark-colored pickup truck struck the man for an unknown reason and then fled.
