Central Valley Jobs: Covered California Testing For Service Jobs

Changes to health care are creating hundreds of jobs that will be up for grabs this weekend.

Covered California, the state's health insurance exchange, will hold a hiring exam at the Fresno Convention Center from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to fill 500 positions at a soon-to-open call center.

The call center will help people understand their options, enroll in health plans and determine eligibility.

Hiring will begin in August for Service Center staff positions.

Applicants must pass a test that includes reading, writing and math to be eligible.. The salary for the Program Technician 2 is $2,638 to $2,975 per month. The salary for the Program Technician 3 is $2,951 to $3,209 per month.
