Security Cameras Never Blink: Thieves Caught Taking Them Down

Posted:
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

Fresno Police are hoping someone will recognize two thieves who stole security cameras from Fresno's Abby Pet Hospital.  Both crooks apparently didn't realize that a security camera never blinks.

The best picture features a man wearing a cap and sporting a mustache.  The other thief caught on camera has a mustache and goatee.  Both stole security cameras from the pet hospital  in July.

Cecilia Wright is a spokesperson for Abby Pet Hospital.  "I don't know if it's the same people doing it over and over again.  I think there's a lot of traffic here, foot traffic here through our property late at night.

Abby Pet Hospital specializes in making ailing dogs and cats well again.  But crime problems keep popping up.  Copper wire was stolen out of the lights in the parking lot so they had to weld them shut.

They also had to cage the irrigation equipment because it too was a target for thieves.

If you recognize the two thieves caught on camera you are encouraged to call Crimestoppers at 498-STOP.
