UPDATE: 84-Year-Old Woman Reported Missing Purchased Bus Ticket To Mexico

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

UPDATE: The Fresno Police Department on Tuesday said an 84-year-old woman who was reported missing Wednesday purchased a bus ticket to Mexico.

Antonia Vallardes, who suffers from dementia, is on a bus to Mexico to see family after being reported missing from the Golden Living Center at 2715 Fresno Street.

Police say she is in good health.

 

ORIGINAL STORY: Fresno police are searching for an 84-year-old woman considered at risk.

Healthcare workers say Antonia Vallardes walked away from her assisted living facility at 2715 Fresno Street around 8:50 a.m. on Monday.

Vallardes has dementia, police said.

About an hour later, she was spotted in the area of Fresno and H streets.

Vallardes uses a walker with a large purple bag containing her medication attached, police said.

She was last seen wearing a red sweater with a yellow shirt under a khaki skirt.
