VISALIA, Calif. (KMPH) -

Police are searching for a man who robbed a Visalia antiques store and assaulted a female employee on Friday.

The incident happened around 5 p.m. at East Noble Antique Store on 4103 E. Noble Avenue. That's when police say a man entered the business and assaulted a lone 60-year-old female employee.

She was hit in the head with an antique object on her head, causing significant injuries, police said.

The robber, police said, also took rings from the woman's fingers and took off on a motorcycle with an undetermined amount of money from the cash box.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery is being asked to contact Detective Juan Saenz of The Violent Crimes Unit at 559-713-4740.
