At least one person has been confirmed dead after a tree fell on a Yosemite National Park-area camp, officials said on Wednesday.
Crews were working to free the children and adults from Camp Tawonga, located just outside of Yosemite National Park, a spokesperson for the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office said.
No children were injured in the incident but four adults suffered injuries, according to reports from the Associated Press. The severity of the injuries to the several adults were not immediately known.
Camp Tawonga is a well-known Jewish-based camp.
Two air ambulances arrived at the scene and airlifted people to hospitals in Modesto and Sonora, according to KMPH news partner the Mariposa Gazette.
