Music, Movie Pirating: Tulare County Cracks Down

More than $150,000 in counterfeit music and movies were seized from a rural Tulare County flea market on Monday, the Tulare County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies say music and music placed on compact discs were being sold at a flea market in Earlimart, about 24 miles south of Tulare.

In total, nine people were arrested for the operation.

Law enforcement officials say music and movie pirating costs businesses between $200 and $250 billion a year in lost revenue.
