Burglar Who Ransacked Fresno Home With 2 Teen Girls Inside Sought

Posted:
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who burglarized an eastern Fresno County home Tuesday morning that was occupied by two teenage girls.

Deputies arrived at a home in the 21000 block of East Princeton Avenue shortly after 10 a.m. after receiving a call of a burglary in progress.

Deputies say two 14-year-old girls were alone inside of the home when they observed a man walking up the driveway. The girls then locked all the doors and then hid in a bedroom closet, deputies said.

As one of the girls called the Sheriff's Office, they heard glass breaking, and then someone moving around in the house.

Deputies say the man then ransacked the house and piled items on a bed nearby the girls' hiding place.

The man was scared off by the two girls after he opened the closet where they were hiding, deputies said.

The man fled from the home into a nearby orange orchard  and the two girls ran to a neighbor's home, deputies said.

A dark-colored vehicle was also seen leaving the area.

Deputies describe the man as a Hispanic male in his late 20's, dressed in camouflaged-colored clothing.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 488-3112.
