Busted: Security Guard Rips Off Film Crew, Arrested!

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -

A Fresno security guard was arrested Tuesday afternoon in connection to stealing a high-priced laptop computer from a film company working in the Shaver Lake area, the Fresno County Sheriff's Office said.

Cody Leroy Gilbert, 27, was arrested at his home in the 5500 block of E Kings Canyon shortly before 4:30 p.m.

Deputies recovered a computer that had been reported missing from the production site on Friday. An anti-theft device on the computer was failed to determine the exact location of the computer. However, it did show that someone had changed the user name on the computer to "Cody's laptop," deputies said.

 

Gilbert was arrested booked in to the Fresno County Jail on charges of grand theft and possession of stolen property.
