Man Sought In Fresno Bank Robbery

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

Police are searching for a man who robbed a Fresno bank with a note last week.

The robbery took place at 2:24 p.m. on May 23 at a  Citibank on North First Street.

Police say the man handed a white folder containing a demand note to the bank teller. Surveillance footage did not show the man with a weapon. However, police say the man patted the side of his shoulder bag as if a weapon may have been inside.

The bank teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the man who then fled on foot, police said.

The man is described as a 24 to 35-year-old white male with reddish-brown hair and a beard. He is said to be anywhere from 5 foot 6 to 5 foot 9 and about 145 to 150 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call 621-2427.
