Family Remembers Lemoore Woman Killed In Hit And Run

LEMOORE, Calif. (KMPH) -

It was in December of 2012 that Yvonne Ignacio was killed in a hit and run crash.

The driver was speeding through a street near the Tachi Palace Casino. He hit Ignacio and drove off. Her body was thrown 40 feet into the middle of the street.

Ignacio died within hours of accident. Her family sadly did not get to say goodbye.

On Sunday, Yvonne's sons celebrated her 60th birthday without her.

The brothers sang for their mother and remembered all that made her special. They say, she was a strong, spiritual woman who always put others first.

They family is seeking justice for what happened to their mother. They are hopeful that someday, they might catch him. Witnesses described the driver as a stocky man wearing a Los Angeles clippers T-shirt. He was last see leaving the Tachi Casino driving a white or beige Chevrolet Malibu.

They are urging anyone with information about the driver to come forward to California Highway Patrol.
