Sierra National Forest Wildfire Burns 40 Acres

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -

A weekend fire burned roughly 40 acres in the Sierra National Forest, the U.S. Forest Service said on Monday.

The fire was reported Saturday just north of Beasore Creek, about three miles off of the Sierra Vista Scenic Byway, by the Federal Aviation Administration.

The fire is now twenty-five percent contained. Officials expect the fire to be fully contained by Tuesday.
