Fatal Stabbing: Auberry Man Taken Into Custody

AUBERRY, Calif. (KMPH) -

A man suspected of a fatally stabbing a man in Auberry Thursday night has been arrested, the Fresno County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies say Jeremy DeHart, 20, of Auberry, was at the residence where a 34-year-old man was found dead in the backyard.

The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. on Calkin Road near Frazier Road in Auberry.

An investigation revealed that DeHart stabbed the man multiple times after the man made comments to him regarding a family friend, the Sheriff's Office said.

DeHart was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail where he is being held on $1 million bail.
