Reckless Driving! Man In Jail After Chase, Ramming Squad Cars

Posted:
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

Two people are in jail Tuesday after police say they led them on a chase and rammed three police cars.

The incident started near First Street and Mckinley Avenue when patrol officers saw a man driving recklessly.

Police say they attempted to pull the man over, but he sped off.

Police found that the car had been reported stolen.

They chased him, but stopped for fear of safety.

The driver eventually lost control and crashed into the yard of a home.

When police arrived, the man put his car in reverse and then rammed the police cars in an attempt to get away.

Police say the driver and passenger are both on probation for stealing cars.

The driver now faces a slew of felony charges including assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer.
