A fire at northwest Fresno apartment complex Thursday morning was caused by arson, the Fresno Fire Department said.
The apartment fire at Maroa Park Apartments was reported around 11:15 a.m. The fire caused minimal damage and there were no injuries.
Firefighters found a small smoldering fire inside one of the units, said the fire department's Public Information Officer, Koby Johns.
The fire was intentionally set and is the result of arson, Johns said.This is the fourth reported arson in 24 hours, Johns said.
The home's occupant told investigators that the home had been broken into.
The Fresno Police Department is investigating the fire.
