TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -

A former Sheriff's Deparment corrections officer will likely spend the rest of his life in prison.

A Tulare County judge sentenced Michael Risenhoover to 88 years to life in prison Friday, for child molestation.

Last October a jury found Risenhoover guilty of multiple counts of forcibly molesting and having intercourse with a child under ten and of being sexually involved with a child under 14.

All of the convictions are considered violent felonies.

Risenhoover was also ordered to pay ten-thousand dollars and to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
