FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -

Update: Fresno police say that they have found Frank Alvarez, the 68-year-old man who was reported missing after he failed to return to his southwest Fresno home.

He was located at the Fulton Mall in downtown Fresno on Thursday, police said.

Original: Police are searching for an at-risk man who went missing from his southwest Fresno home Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Frank Alvarez, 68, did not return to his Fresno home on Wednesday night after leaving earlier that morning on his red, beach cruiser-style bike with white-wall tires and a rear bike rack.

The man's family told police that he leaves on the bicycle every morning around 6:30 a.m. and returns home around 9 p.m. the same day.

Family members told police that Alvarez, who has the mental capacity of a 12 to 16 year old, was last spotted at a Kerman-area liquor store around 8:30 a.m. Thursday where he may have gone to visit friends.

Police said Alvarez had a similar incident in Southern California where he was gone for three days.

Alvarez was last seen wearing a brown, plaid button-up shirt, with a brown jacket and brown pants.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Frank is encouraged to contact the Fresno Police Department.
