VISALIA, Calif. (KMPH) -

A Visalia man was arrested on Monday morning after two attempted carjackings, police said.

Mark Elizondo, 22, was arrested after police say he tried to force his way into a car in the 100 block South Chinowth Street. It was his second attempt in the area.

After fleeing from the scene, police say Elizondo then hid in the yard of a home in the 200 block North Carl Drive. No injuries to either driver or the homeowner were reported.

Elizondo was identified by both car drivers and the homeowner.

He was booked into the Tulare County Main Jail.
