Killed By Gunfire: Madera Sheriff's Office Investigates Drive-By Shooting

MADERA, Calif. (KMPH) -

A Madera man was killed and a woman was wounded in a drive-by shooting late Sunday night, the Madera County Sheriff's Office.

Shaun Lafiet Foster, 34, and an unidentified 43-year-old woman were sitting on a couch in a vacant lot near a home on Ellis Street in northwest Madera 11:15 p.m. when a white-colored sedan drove by a few times before shooting multiple rounds, according to reports.

Both Foster and the woman were struck by gunfire sometime between 11:15 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., the sheriff's office said.

The two were rushed a local hospital where Foster was later pronounced dead.

The condition of the female is not known at this time.

The shooting is currently under investigation.
