Visalia Man Sentenced To 40 Years For Child Molestation

VISALIA, Calif. (KMPH) -

A 29-year-old Visalia man on Monday was sentenced to 40 years in state prison for child molestation.

Daniel Grijalva Galindo was charged was charged for four separate counts of forcible lewd acts on two girls aged 6 and 12.

Galindo entered no contest pleas to the four counts on in December.

Visalia police learned of the molestations after an older sibling of the two girls had called the police after learning that his siblings had been sexually assaulted last July.

Following an investigation, Galindo was arrested and charged. It was revealed that Galindo molested the 6-year-old the same day the incidents were reported, and had molested the 12-year-old twice within the past year.

Each count is a violent felony under California's Three Strikes Law.

Galindo will not be eligible for parole until he serves 85 percent of his prison term and will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Galindo was also ordered to pay $10,000 in restitution fines. Future restitution to the victims and the Government Victim's Compensation Claims Board remains open.

Galindo entered no contest pleas to the four counts on in December.
